Leave Rules
Absence without leave is seriously viewed. In case of seven consecutive days of absence, the student’s name shall be struck off. He or she may, however , be re-admitted (subsequent to the Principal’s direction) after he or she has paid all the dues and the re-admission fee.
For leave of absence, a letter must be sent by the parent(s) / guardian and also a note be made in the diary. All the students are expected to attend the classes on opening day after each of the vacations and on the closing day before it.
Absence due to sickness must be supported by a medical certificate. The students attending school after suiffering from an infection disease such as measles, chicken pox, cholera, mumps. Whooping cough, etc, must produce a fitness certificate from a registered doctor.
Promotion Rules
- While awarding promotion to a higher class, the folowing weightage shall be given upto VIII
- Formative Assessments : (FA-1, 2, 3 & 4)
- First and Second Summative Examination : (SA 1 & SA 2)
- For Sr. Sec. Classes the student’s rank shall be determined on the basis of his/her total marks in all the tests and examination
- For promotion, a 40% aggregate is compulsary. A supplementary examination (only for very genuine cases) may be held in April.
- Only with an attendance of 75 % a student is entitled to take the Annual Examination or the CBSE examination.
Guidelines For Parents / Guardianss
- The parents / guardian are expected to co-operate with the school by enforcing regularity and discipline and by showing a keen interest in their children’s progress. They should see the Diary regularly; take note of the remark(s); and visit the school from time to time.
- They should feel free to make any suggestion(s) for the betterment of the school. For that , they may come personally or send a note.
- Both father and mother should attend the parent teacher meetings organised by the school from time to time.
- parents / guardian are not expected to enter the classrooms.
- They are not expected to meet the teachers during the school hours. They can however, see them before / after the school hours or during the recess or , in an urgent case, by appointment through the Principal.
- see the Principal on working day betwewen 9.00 am to 11.30 am.
Attendance
Every student is expected to maintain an attendance record of 100% during the year.
Besides the regular classes some extra classes are being taken by the teachers for the benefit of the students with prior intimation which is compulsory for the students to attend.
A proper leave application along with the filled up absence note given in the diary, must be submitted in writing by the parent.
This should be supported by a medical certificate in case of sick leave.
If a child has been suffering from a communicable disease, he / she would be allowed to attend the school only after production of a fitness certificate from a qualified doctor.
Students once enter the school premises are not allowed to avail 1/2 day leave under any circumstances except medical cases.
In case of acute health problems and other emergency the students should stay back at home.
Repeated absence without permitted or unexplained absence of more than 6 consecutive working days renders the student liable to have his / her name struck off the rolls.
Re – admission may be granted only at the direction of the Principal on payment of Rs. 200/- in the school office.
All the students are expected to attend school on the opening day after the Summer and Autumn break.
Code Of Conduct
The compliance of the following instructions is compulsory and any failure to do so may necessitate disciplinary action without prior notice.
All students are expected to conduct themselves as worthy citizens at all times and in all places.
The school insists on strict punctuality, regularity, cleanliness in dress and personal hygiene, general grooming and fidelity towards study and assignments.
The students are to follow the instructions of the teachers and school authorities.
Running, playing, shouting or any other disturbances are not allowed in the school during school hours. The students are to play in the playgrounds only.
Any damage done to the school property by the children will have to be compensated by themselves.
As the medium of instruction in the .school is English, the students are required to converse in English with the staff and each-other as often as possible.
All students must pay due regard to the teachers in and outside the school.
None of the students is allowed to bring mobiles or C.D.s (other than educational)) to school.
If a child behaves otherwise and does not respond to repeated guidance and instructions, He/she may be punished as a disciplinary measure. Should punishment fail to rectify the child the school authorities require the parents to withdraw their child from the School.
